KEN ABRAM'S EELIE

I tie the pattern on a 1/0 34007 (the official pattern calls for an obscure eagle claw hook that I've never found, and the mustad hook seems to get the job done appropriately in my experience) with white thread. There is a belly of a very small bunch of white bucktail on the gape side of the hook. On the sides/top of the hook, there are saddle hackles of equal length tied in which are white, blue and yellow (1 ea). Next, a single olive saddle hackle is tied in. Finally, a turn of fluff from the base of a white hackle (although I'm thinking about tying in marabou since it looks better and doesnt seem to have any effect on the fly's catching power either way) is tied in similar to a seaducer.
